you?

My day starts at 4:30am, gym at 5am til 6:30am, then home to get my little girl ready for school with breakfast and some mommy daughter time, my first cardio from 8 to 8:30am, work from 9am till 4:30pm, then finish my last cardio around 6pm, mommy daughter time again then bed by 9:30pm! Sometimes I am completely exhausted but then the weekend gives me a little rest :)

What is your eating plan like?

I have 6 meals a day.  I eat every 2 and half hours.  My meals are around 280 calories a meal and I spread my carbs out between my first 4 meals. No carbs in my last two meals.  I try to use as much organic food as possible bc the more natural the better it is for you.  I stick to lean white meats (turkey, chicken, egg whites, fish) and sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa for my carbs!

What food can’t you go without?

Funny question: when dieting I can’t go without my oatmeal (its my favorite when training for a show), off season I love love my peanut butter :)

What keeps you motivated to stay in shape?

I love the way my body looks and I can tell immediately when I am slacking… I know how hard it is to get to a comfortable place so I never want to lose it.  It’s a must for me bc of the way it makes me feel and it also helps me to deal with stress etc.

What is your workout plan like?

I train upper and lower body parts on different days.  I do medium weight with a lot of reps.  I will work my glutes 3 times a week, my abs 3 times a week, i do one plyometric class a week, one pilates class a week and i do two cardio sessions every day ( i break my cardio up into two 30 minute sessions)

What is the most challenging thing for you when it comes to staying in shape?

Well we all have to live a little and most of my friends are not die hard fitness like I am.  When i let lose sometimes… it is necessary but after eating bad and drinking it’s a little struggle to not want to keep throwing little cheats in bc you have tasted the good stuff :)   I have had to learn to compromise bc you can be fit and have fun but without over doing it.

Top 3 tips for people who want to get in shape?

1) Just start doing something everyday even if it’s small it’s a beginning
2) Drink lots of water every day
3) Eat small meals that are healthy choices.

Your favorite six pack abs exercises/workout?

I actually have an ab lounge in my workout room and I LOVE IT!  I work upper, lower and oblique’s on it.  150 reps for each area and it works like a charm :)    450 reps 3 times a week!!

Your own physical feature you are most proud of?

My glutes….I’m from Louisiana so the red beans and rice didn’t miss me!!

Body part of a guy you findmost sexy?

Hmm nice glutes and I love nice arms.

What is the biggest myth you encounter every day in the fitness industry?

I don’t want to lift heavy bc i don’t want to get bigger…LOL
